Embodying Safety: Enhancing Embodiment Through Sound and Vibration ONLINE

Our human survival depends on our ability to attach and bond, defend against threat, and make sense of ourselves and the world around us.

Yet, in our current world, many of us feel a dissonance within our human survival structures whether this occurs at the personal, societal, or collective levels.

As providers, we are asked to embody safety. That is, to offer relational reciprocity, presence, and attunement to one another. To sit with ourselves and with others as we go beyond our personal experiences and acknowledge the thoughts, feelings, and somatic memories that are part of our shared accumulated history.

The body holds the key to our personal, intergenerational, and collective healing. As we understand how our beliefs and experiences live in the body, we can begin to live through embodied cognition and to feel through embodied emotions. When we live from a place of embodied resonance, we transmute a signal of safety to others that has the capacity to shift everything in its path. Moving us all simultaneously towards a greater sense of the shared experience, towards safety, towards harmonious connection.

How do we begin to embody safety and connection when our nervous systems, or our bodies are organized towards threat and disconnection?

Embodying Safety: Enhancing Embodiment Through Sound and Vibration is an experiential immersion in the use of an auditory listening system called The Safe and Sound Protocol, developed to support our foundational neural platforms for identifying cues of and attuning to sources of safety.

NOTE: This course requires and is limited to 4 participants. This group is not appropriate for individuals with active bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, or if who are unable to secure a safe and reasonably calm living environment.

Description

This 12-week Online experiential group will help providers:
• Experience the underlying neurobiological states, strategies, and beliefs systems that arise in the aftermath of acute or chronic stress and developmental wounding;
• Discover the developmental movements that support coherence and embodiment of the near and far senses;
• Identify fight, flight, freeze patterns that are the undercurrent of many common conditions in the world today; and
• Reclaim a greater sense of connection to themselves and enhance the capacity for attuned relational presence with others.

***PLEASE NOTE: This group is experiential in nature and includes the use of an auditory listening system called The Safe and Sound Protocol. You are encouraged to participate to the level of your ability and comfort. Please find information about Safe and Sound Protocol at https://integratedlistening.com/. If you feel hesitation or unable to participate in any of the activities, please communicate this to the training facilitators.

This workshop includes access to SSP 3-Pathways Listening System for 3 months, 10-acoustic listening sessions, weekly tracking and somatic coaching, 1 individual coaching session and group follow-up session. Participants will also be required to come prepared with somatic tools, art and journaling materials, to use in each listening session.

Participants will be invited to register their iPhone to Safe and Sound Protocol through Unyte ILS. Over the ear headset must be purchased by participant prior to the group. Participants must have access to a quiet environment without distractions to participate.
